What are the tools used by the advertising agency?

Is it an ad you remember what the product is (like McDonalds or PS2?) or is it a an ad you remember because it looks and sounds cool? Is there a difference?

Do you think it is good advertising if people aren't sure what the product or service is or is it good advertising if youjust remember the ad?
